Authenticity and Food(ie) Orgs

This week you are reading about some different firms in the food industry.  One of my not-at-all hidden goals in the class is to expose my co-authors and students to a wide variety of types of organizations.  Since the WSJ and Financial Times understandably are heavily weighted towards publicly-traded firms, I like to look for the more common though less covered privately held organizations.  Farmer’s Diner is one.

A colleague who runs a very active blog, Authentic Organizations, has an interview and a review of a HBR [Harvard Business Review] article that may put Whole Foods and the Farmers’ Diner into perspective.  I invite you to explore that blog in your never ending quest for ideas to write about for our blog.  ;<)
